Who runs it

citature is built and operated by bricksofa. These terms cover the MCP endpoint at https://mcp.citature.com/mcp, each tool's HTTP operation on the same host, the account a priced call is billed to, a payment made with a call, and this site. Using a priced tool is accepting them.

What costs nothing

7 of the 11 tools carry no price. They answer without a credential and never reach the meter, so calling one creates no account and no charge*.

What a priced answer costs

The other 4 are billed per answer served, in US dollars, at the price the catalogue carries when the call is made:

A priced call over MCP needs a bearer token issued for this resource, and is billed to the account the token was issued against. The account holder answers for the calls made by the applications they approve. A priced call paid for with the request instead is covered below.

What is never billed

A call is billed only once its answer is in hand. A call that produced no answer, an answer that found nothing, a withheld estimate and every refusal cost nothing.

If recording a charge fails after the answer is delivered, the answer is still yours, and the charge may be recorded later for that same call, once†.

A priced call named with an idempotency key is billed once however often it is retried with that key and the same arguments. Without a key, the call's message id names it: a retry resent under the same id on the same UTC day is the same call, and a retry sent under a new id is a new call, billed as one.

How it is invoiced

No card is taken in advance: an account's first priced answer starts its billing. At the end of each monthly billing period, an invoice for that period's priced answers is emailed to the account's address, payable on the hosted invoice page it links to within 30 days of being sent.

The processor that holds the billing record is named on the privacy page. Whether an account with unpaid invoices keeps priced access is decided account by account.

Paying with the call

A priced tool can also be paid for with the call itself, over its HTTP operation, by a caller holding no account, where the operations document at https://mcp.citature.com/openapi.json lists that operation with an x-payment-info offer. An operation listed without one is not open to per-call payment. The offer states the price and the stablecoin it is paid in on the Tempo network. A call carrying no payment is answered 402 with a challenge stating that price and stablecoin together with the chain and the address the payment is sent to, and the challenge is what a payment is made against.

The payment is sent only once the answer is in hand. An answer that found nothing, a withheld estimate and every refusal send nothing, and the same payment can be presented again.

A payment the network refuses, or a transaction that reverts, withholds the answer, and citature receives nothing. A payment sent whose landing citature cannot confirm still delivers the answer, without a receipt, and the network decides whether it was paid.

A call sent again with the same payment and the same arguments is answered again with the same receipt, for a day after its challenge expires, and is not paid for twice.

A payment made on the network is final there. One taken in error is corrected as refunds says, by writing to the support address with the transaction's hash.

What an answer is

Each answer states its own coverage and cites the records it restates, with their dates. citature reports what a record says, and does not warrant that an upstream record is accurate or complete. The standing guardrails ship in every answer:

Research over public records and product labels — not medical, nutritional, or safety advice.

No verdicts

citature reports what the record says. It never renders a verdict, a pass/fail, a diagnosis, or a recommendation, and is not a substitute for a clinician.

No individuals

Answers are product-, substance- or population-level only — foods, supplements, labels, substances, enforcement actions, and dietary intake as a weighted survey estimate. No answer returns or describes an individual person, and citature links no record to individually identifiable data.

Silence is not absence

A record that does not declare something is not a record declaring its absence. citature reports what a record states; it cannot report what a product does not contain, or what a population did not consume.

A Daily Value is not a DRI

A Daily Value is a labelling reference from federal regulation, not a Dietary Reference Intake. citature carries no licensed source for Dietary Reference Intakes and does not estimate whether anyone meets a nutrient requirement.

The service

It is provided as it runs, with no promised availability. Requests are limited per caller, and a request refused under that limit costs nothing.

Registration is not always open. An account that exists keeps signing in whatever state registration is in.

When they change

When these terms change, this page changes, and the date the sitemap gives it says when. A price change is a change to the catalogue, which this page, the tool pages and the tool descriptions all render from.
